Why the March Matters:
The Bataan Memorial Death March remains one of the most demanding endurance events in the U.S., held at high desert elevation through varied terrain including loose sand, rugged paths and dramatic elevation changes.
Yet the physical challenge is matched by its symbolic weight: each step taken recalls the resilience of those who served and suffered in WWII, reinforcing lessons of duty, teamwork, and perseverance.
Key Reminders:
- Participants must comply with all safety protocols and event rules. Permitted gear, weight-&-division requirements, and course guidelines will be published on the official site.
- Accommodations near WSMR are limited, participants are encouraged to secure lodging early and plan for transportation to the range.
- Event media credentials and press information are available via WSMR Public Affairs. Personal vehicles are not allowed on the march trail for safety reasons.
